ABS and BRAKE lights

ABS and BRAKE light are coming on and off. Both at the same time. No codes set. Everything else seems normal.
Any ideas?

Does your speedo work? If not, it could be the sensor on the rear axel.

The spedo, tach, and everything works. Don't have a scanner to check codes, but the on/off check shows no codes.
Wasn't there a sensor on the front end of some of the trucks?

Did you do the power window mod in the fuse box?

No mods, except for exhaust.

Have you tried disconnecting the batteries or removed the fuse to see if it re-sets itself?

The lights come and go. Almost like a loose connection. Not sure how the sensor is constructed or whether it's a magnetic or optical pickup, but it acts like an intermittent signal. Weird.

Has it ever?
Every '98 I've worked on doesn't have the key off/on feature for pulling codes.

In addition to the brake lines, there is a wire going to each front brake. Would that be the ABS sensors? Don't even have my service manuals with me.

At the house and can look at things now. This is what I've found;
Right front caliper is sticking. Noticed that going home today. It creates noise, causes the vehicle to not steer correctly at times, creates heat, and stinks. It also makes the brake pedal feel funny. I also found a very small spring, as in a coiled piece of wire, laying on the inside of my wheel, when I looked at it earlier today. The spring was ~ 1/16"/1.5mm diameter and 1/2"/12.7 mm long. Along with the spring I found some flakes of a material that could be fried nylon or brake material.
My SWAG is that the caliper has been sticking enough to creat heat and fry the right front sensor. I haven't checked the wheel bearing yet. Hopefully it was raining enough to keep everything "cooler" and possibly eliminate major damage.
Got a couple of cool ones in me and now's the time to hit the book and see if I an cipher anything.
It's raining like a cow hiking a hind leg so I can't go out and just tear it apart.
Please advise.

Ouch!

But I think you found the problem. Good luck on the repair.
