The only speed sensor your going to find with a 5 speed is on the rear diff, if you don't have 4 wheel ABS, then there are two in the front as well. If you've replace the rear speed sensor, and don't have 4 wheel ABS, replace your stoplight switch. They're around $12.00 at Auto Zone.

Found the front sensors listed on mopar.biz. Also found in another post that if you remove the small connector from the ABS module you can use an ohm meter to check them. Tried it today and mine ohmed out between 800 and 1000 ohms. Am I just chasing my tail here?

Checked the rear wheel sensor and it ohmed out at 1800 ohms. Is this high or about right?

Anyone got an answer on the correct ohms for the rear wheel sensor. I will ohm mine out when I get home tonight. I am having the exact same problem as big bubba. ABS and brake light on, speedo and cruise work fine, brakes shudder when the lights are not on. Just started yesterday. I also heard a rotational, speed sensitive noise on the way to work this morning.

My ABS and Brake light came on last week but my speedo worked just fine. About three days later the speedo would not work until I got over 20 MPH. So I stopped by Dodge dealer and picked up a speed sensor for the rear axle part#1-56028187 AE and all is well again.

Last Wednesday on the way home from work the lights where on, and I had also a rotational noise that turned into a grinding sound. Turns out the front left hub bearings went. Replaced it, but the brake lights are still on. Guess I'm going to try the rear sensor.

Some have found that with intermittent lights, a part of the wiring harness to the sensor has rubbed through and is grounding out.

Where exactly is the wheel speed sensor located on a 98 12v...is it on top of the rear axle? My cruise control works, BUT, the light does not come on that says "cruise" when I turn it on, and the spedo works fine

Same prob w/ my 07

Yesterday evening I changed my oil/filter/and fuel filter. Today I was suppose to pull my skid steer up to my next job in the mountains. I haven't had to hook up my trailer in about a month and a half. I remembered that I had been having some problems with my trailer lights (a short that causes the fuse to blow when I have my headlights on...) anyway, I was looking for that fuse and it was about dark. I decided to deal with my trailer in the morning. Well, I look down and my ABS light and parking brake light are not going out...figured I must have pulled out a wrong fuse. Then on the way home I noticed that my odometer is stuck on the same # 13340ish. Is this not a fuse problem ? oh and in my shining mechanical form...messing with the fuses today my 4WD will not engage. aggghhh

you ever figure this out?

ive replaced both abs sensors, the pumpkin sensor.

I hope its not dangerous to drive with the brakes pulsating like that. It only does it once in a while
