98.5 no start

I rallied my 98.5 24v last night and it quit on deceleration acted like it ran out of fuel. Ive checked the low pressure side and it is O/K. Im not getting any thing out of the injector pump at all! Is there a computor signal the pump needs to turn on internally? Or did I lunch the inj. pump? It has 85k miles on it and I bought it a month ago with no repair history.
Help!!

Check your VP inlet to see if you are getting fuel there. If so, then crack 3 injector lines and see if you have fuel up top. If not, your VP is most likely shot. If you do have fuel there, retighten the lines and check for holes in your fuel supply, especially around the top of the tank. My lines rotted at the sending unit, and I had to have it replaced.

15 psi in K0EO and 10psi at crank. It ran at 10 psi at idle and seen it drop to 9 psi under full throttle

I have completed all of your recommendations a few times, no fuel at the head in any of the fuel lines.

If it had an 0215, that's a probable IP problem.

No code 0215, Im getting aireated fuel at all lines now and have spent about seven hours trying to purge all of the air to no avail. It is getting better, but not there yet? Ive sent it to a repair shop. Ill let all know the outcome! Bill

I think Crobtex meant the 0216 DTC which is the classic "timing failure" which signifies the beginning of the end for the VP44.

Yep, it was the end of the VP44! Piece of poopoo !!! They cost !!!!!
Im going to p/u my truck today and pay for the priviledge of owning a 98.5-01 RAM CUMMINS!!! Cummins told me that the VP44s last on average of 50-60k miles! Theres 4 updates for the automatic and 2 for the manual to this point! The lessons learned from this system have been incorporated into the "common rail", such as, a bypass with a one way check valve, to go around the transfer pump when it fails, allowing to IP to draw fuel from the tank around the TX pump with much less suction requirment!! NO mod for the VP44 system is available to do the same!!
They did suggest installing a " low press lamp" on the dash to show when the TX pump fails and shut down the engine to save the VP44.

Not true!! The RASP fuel system will operate in true bypass system.....if either pump fails, the failed pump is bypassed and the other fuels the VP.....much better than a 3rd gen system because this way the IP will always get pressurized fuel as a fail safe.
