24V won't start

24V won't start

Changed lift pump/seems there is no power to fuel system. checked all fuses and relays. Tried to use my scanner for fault codes and keep getting the message "Vehicle Not Responding" Any ideas???
1998 Dodge 2500/ 24 valve

Can you hear the pump run for a few seconds after turning the ignition to the "on" position? If you can bump yout starter a few times to prime the system. After that, mine usually has to turn over for 5 or so seconds until it fires. Good luck.

Still no power to lift pump. Made a harness to manually run lift pump to get fuel to engine. Loosed banjo bolt to purge air. Still no start. Seems to have engine locked out. Computer/electrically

The "Vehicle not responding" leads one to believe you shorted something.

Check the fuses to see if anything popped.

Crack your feed line to the VP and see if you are getting fuel to it, if so crack a few injector lines and crank engine over. Once it sputters, tighten those lines and crack the others, then it should start. You have introduced air into the system, you will need to bleed it out, then truck should start.
