Never had or seen this before. The truck has about 100k on it and shown no problems up until this weekend. The trans is having trouble shifting out of 1st. It would rev up until red line and will not shift until I let off of it. Not that big of a deal until I pulled into a gas station to check it out. I put it in park and went to jump out and the truck started rolling away. I checked the fluid and level was ok but smelled a little burnt. Are my fears true and the trannys out. If so I need one fast and will install myself. Any ideas? Where do I even start looking? Thanks for any info.
