today at work i am helping my friend remove his radiator and replace with a new one. While we were at, he wanted to replace the t-stat. we have the rad removed w/o problem. removed the t-stat and when we were replacing the housing, he cross threaded it and stripped it all the way down. im thinking were going to have to re-tap the hole, but i dont know what size or if there is something we could do.

if you have any info please let us know. he is out of service now

Take one of the bolt's to the hardware store and get a tap that match's it. If that don't work, look at Heli-coil's while you're there.
