Carp i am going to keep plugging it in for as long as i can get away with it. It would be good if i wanted to upgrade my injectors and CP3 but i just use it as my daily ride . If i get to the no start point i will look into performance upgrades. I will keep a eye on ebay for some used ones if they come up also.

Yeah, I just got the stock stuff back in, no upgrades.

Woodzy, they checked the injector pump first, and it wasn't putting anything out. Nothing. - So, they knew they had to replace the pump. At that point they could not get it to run. After the pump was replaced then they tried to start it and got into the injector issue. From what I understood it was not running, but they were getting major fuel return line volume.

Ok, so I did miss something. Wow, that's a painful bill... Did you buy your injectors from the shop??

I know it's too late now, but if you look online, the injectors are alot cheaper than what the shop charges... not trying to rub dirt in the wounds Carp.

When they had it apart in the shop I was not in a position to shop online. The only thing I have wondered about it whether all the injectors needed to replaced. But that is done.
After a few days the plastic cap which covers an access port for working on the high pressure pump failed. (It is right in there by the serpentine belt.)Either they tightened it a little too much when they put it on or it was fatigued. It cracked and fell out of place while the engine was running. It allowed engine oil to be thrown out of that access port. Now there is a small amount of oil all over everything.

Grid heaters, just like your toaster. Just a wire, a special type wire, that when voltage/current run through gets very hot.

They consume about 675watts.

As mentioned above. . . .you won't learn much by checking voltage to the element, other than yes I have 12VDC at least to run them so the relay works, right. If you have that then like mentioned above. Disconnect the wires to the heater and then check OHMs across the element. . .should have a low reading but should not be open, = bad.
