2 piece driveshaft carrier support bearing?

I've removed and installed them with a vice and hammer. Every time I've changed one out I've always replaced all the u-joints at the same time. It's just a matter of time on the joints, might as well do it all while the driveline is off.

You need a piece of pipe that hits on the inner race only to pound the new one on. If you pound on the outer race, you'll wreck the new bearing.

hey guys i bought the bearing from car quest for 31$!!!....its even a genuine spicer part ...napa is overpriced on this one more than double

I had the bearing in my '01 replaced under warranty. it failed because the slip joint right behind it froze and every time I accelerated the driveshaft would deflect the carrier bearing to the point that the shaft was rubbing on the housing. check your slipjoint. the rubber is pretty pliable you can pull it about 1/4" in any direction even on a new bearing.
