1993 Dodge 250 Won't Go Into Gear

On the side of the highway and 1993 46RH truck won't move. LOUD (read: deafening) knocking noise coming from trans. Fluid level is fine and fluid is not burnt. What am I looking at?

I bet the flex plate broke.

I agree. I think the flex plate is now a bang plate! I also think I remember this being a common problem with the trucks prior to 93 but don't remember hearing a lot about it after 91 or so.
