first of all i should mention this is a 4x4 with a 3 speed auto trans it will not start off in drive or 2nd but if i start in 1st i can shift up from there it will drive ok untill you stop thene you have to manually shift again any help would be greatly appreciated thanks terry red neck canadian

 

Sounds like the 1st gear sprag clutch is munched. Time for a trans rebuild.
