07 5.9 will not start

So we made a large run to the Costco for Christmas. Made it back to the house to unload the booty. About 20 minutes. When I got back in to go see my brother at the hospital My truck would not start. And yes I have the clutch pushed in, LOL. Thanks for checking Wife and Dad. LOL.

I tried to get engine codes by cycling the key 3 times. Tried both ways. Key to the key lock. And key to the release point of sliding it out. No codes. I could be doing it wrong.

One interesting thing is I have power to everything. But When I try to start no engine crank. I then got out to lock with the key fob and nothing. Tried with the other key. Nothing. I could see if the one key did not work but the spare that worked yesterday?

Help. Because it is parked right behind my car in the garage. And I need to get to the airport in the morning for a trip as well as leave a running vehicle for the wifey and kids.

Ok, solved my problem. Wife suggested fuses. I pulled all the wireless and ignition fuses. They were all good. But one of them must have come loose.

fuses pulled and reseated

Not sure which one did the trick as I just pulled to see if one had popped or not. After seeing none was blowen I went inside frustrated. I thought hey lets try to see if the fob works from my front window. bodda BING! We are in the money, we are in the money. All is well.

If the problem returns........
I had a similar intermittent problem with my 06. when it finally quit starting altogether, I traced the problem to a broken clutch interlock switch. The switch is located on the clutch pedal. These trucks require the clutch to be depressed in order to start. For 06 it is a dealer only part. If they have to order it, or if you get stuck when it gives out completely, you can bypass the switch. You can twist the two wires together (truck would be able to start in gear) or just add a toggle switch.

The same problem happened to me last november, it was a WCM failure, its the security module that interfaces with the keys and recognizes them which allows the truck to crank over. I have heard that pulling a certain fuse will bypass the issue but it still needs to be replaced, which for me was covered under warranty
