06 ran ok at full speed, but rough at idle. then just died. will not restart even with a battery disconnection /system drain. P trouble code as best as he can tell is 10 flashes pause 1 flash, steady eng light on after that.
truck was running rough yesterday, is run on diesel till warm then on veggie oil. changed filters last nite, did not clear up rough idle this morning. ran truck a couple hundred miles, came to a stop, idled rough, then died. This is my friends description on his 06 5.9 with auto. Needs help asap broke down.

 

Is he running 100 wvo? If so I did not think that stuff was ok in a HPCR system.

 

yeah I think pretty much 100 after warmup. been doing it for more than a year. maybe it is finally catching up?

 

Update, no codes on the odometer or on a scan tool. everything points to an injection issue likely due to running WVO. WVO was filtered down to 1 micron. When the dealer tears it down I'll try to update. Thanks for the quick replies.

 

With the ruined 07 6.7 (plugged the oil filter), Jeep Liberty VIM diesel that needed $4k worth of fuel system parts, hard starting Mercedes equipped Jeep Grand Cherokee that ended up getting injectors, and a P7100 that was gummed up you can have your bio/waste oil. There's enough $$$ mentioned in that first sentence to assure that my truck will never use the stuff.
