Throttle went away, rough idle, then died

Ok, 1999 stock, new lift pump (4 months old), tested pump, working fine.

Last night, truck started fine, drove about 5 miles, driving slowly, and the throttle suddenly went away. It went to a very rough idle. Truck never accelerated again, and died about 20 seconds later. Will NOT start now.

Cam sensor maybe???

thanks guys,
KP

Ok- by the way, fuel filter is fine. The throttle didn't fade away, it was working perfect, then BAM, rough idle. REALLY rough idle. It rans for about 2-30 seconds, until I tried to take off, then died. It wants to run, but it's VERY VERY rough. Could this be a TPS or CPS? I do have an injector pump that's going out for about a year, but I don't think that's what it is.

Any ideas? Thanks again!

I wouldn't rule out your VP44. Mine was dying for about a year too and then all the sudden over about a week's time it started to completely die and only start when it wanted. It would be fine for a certain amount of time then all the sudden it would stumble and die. It would give me dead pedal on the highway to the point where it was a complete road hazard. Luckily for me, I still had about 1000 miles on the 100,000 warranty. By all means check everything else first, but don't rule the IP out.
