03 tail light issues

Hey guys I've got an 03 quad cab shorty. My problem is my left tail light and running light will not work. I'm stumped cause I have a brake light on that side. The bulbs are good, checked fuses under hood and are all good. Any Idea's fella's? I'd like to try and sell this thing and need to get this fixed first. Thanks Jon

I'm about positive all fuses are ok. atleast all the one's under the hood. are there any other's? I know the wire's are still attached to the light's because I ended up pulling the whole balast thing out that your lights go into trying to find the problem.

Check the light bulbs. IF they have the plastic base go get the ones that are made out of glass. Seems like the heat will cause the plastic to melt and you will not have a good contact.

Check the wires in the loom on the frame closest to the drivers door. I'd be willing to bet you have a break in the wire. I had the same problem. Its fairly easy to check for power if you have a multimeter. Start at the fuse panel, where you know you have power and work your way back to the bulb. Good luck.

Probably the socket bar. it's the most common issue. Available at a dealer for about 19.99. Just ask the parts guy for it. They replace them all the time.
