getting code po633 skim key not programmed into ecm , truck starts up and runs good with no problem .as i erase codes n turn the key on it comes right back. do i have to programe the ecm or have it diag through dealer..

 

Not sure of your problem but if you post your sig others can chime in and more than likely give you an answer.

 

A skim key is any key that is not a transponder encoded key that has been programmed to match the other keys. You can program your own keys by following the instructions in the owners manual, you just have to have two keys already programmed. The dealer can do it with only one. I didn't think the 2003 had transponder encoded keys though?

 

my 03 did not and my 05 did not. my friends 06 did though.

 

Is your ignition key black or gray? If black it does not have skim, did you swap ECM from another truck? Read flash procedure if skim is not stored in ECM your truck would not start or start and stall.
