You're not going to get fuel from the injector lines unless you are cranking the vehicle. Just pushing with the LP would only fuel one of the lines (at most) depending on the position of the rotor in the pump. Once you have fuel to the VP44 inlet, you'll need to loosen the lines and crank the engine till you have fuel at the lines. You can loosen 1, 3 and 4 pretty easily, so those are the ones I usually use for priming. Once you have fuel coming from the line, you can tighten it down. Once all three are tightened back down, then you can crank it up.
If you don't get fuel to the lines, then you're looking at probable VP44 failure.

Thursday night, I backed the truck in the driveway that puts it in a slight incline uphill. The fuel gauge reade 1/4, and the trip computer says 71 miles to go.........

I added 5 gallons of Diesel, and AggieJustin made me realize I had to crank the engine over to get the fuel delivered - Voila!!!
My greatest thanks to you all, and this forum for saving me again, you rock!
I know this sounds dumb, but make sure you have lots of fuel in the tank. If you installed a new fuel pump, and you arent getting fuel through it, it either has no fuel in the tank, sucking air, or you still have a bad pump. Providing it get power and ground.
LOL, your sender will continue to get worse, so for now, keep it above 1/4, and figure on changing the sender sometime. Not real costly, 40ish for the fuel level sender, PITA to change, drop the tank.
