*** valve body?

I had to take the valve body out of the "built transmission" I bought, and change the wiring. Why would they only put 8 bolts back in instead of 10 to hold the valve body in place? Do I need to take the other 2 out of my stock one?

Thats what i thought. You pay $6500+ for a billet transmission and they forget to put some bolts back in it. I sure hope there are billet shafts in there.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Not only are all bolts required but must be torqued correctlly.

I got it back going saturday morning everything was fine. Saturday-Wednesdayno problem. I go out today to go to work start my truck and go back inside, 5-10 minutes later I come get in put it in reverse nothing. After playing with it for a little bit I decide to cut the truck off and try to start in while in gear. It does not start in R, D, 2, 1, and only starts in P and N like it should. I start it back up put it in reverse (you can feel it catch just a little) nothing. If I give it a lot of throttle (2500+rpm) it will start to move. Any idea's?

It sounds like it needs a will!!!!
Anyone can make a mistake, and overlook a bolt But two is sloppy. That is one area that is very critical, hence the need to torque them.
You should of gone to them first, not here.

I did, and they kept telling me to try different things. If it had the right sensors in it to start with I would have never known the bolts were missing.

Ok, good catch, you save a trans.
Was the wiring harness from an earlier year?
Did you get it going?
