Pretty vague... I'd love to know what the cause was.

Maybe a Ford with that messed-up Overdrive soleniod problem that plagues so many of them.

We had a recent inncident locally.
One of our locally owned tire shops burnt down due to one of the trucks kicking into gear and free revving into a tire machine, or somthing of that sort.
My dad who has been a mechanic for over 35 years has said he has seen vehicles do that on numerious accounts, for a lot of differnt reasons.
It just so happens that the tire truck was a ford too.....
Thankfully no one was hurt in either of the accidents.

...bad publicity for the good diesels.
It's been a rough couple of days for diesels in Ohio!
On the same day the Columbus Dispatch ran an article denouncing school buses that idle and the placement of 'No Idle Zones' around schools because "Buses use diesel fuel, which contains soot, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, benzene and other toxins." While I'm not trying to spark an idle/don't idle debate I think that the statement above is misleading, as though gasoline engines do not produce any of these byproducts.
