no one makes their own diesel engine here

You are correct, however, Dodge has had the Cummins since 1989. 18 years; same basic motor. Can chevy or Ford say the same? I think not

I agree with all of you!
I also "like some" grew up with Mopar so I am glad that DODGE is the one with the GOOD engine. I just hope that they keep up with the quality the have presented thus far!

I started this thread because the other day I was driving my good old Ram and caught myself beaing just as excited about driving it "actually more" as the day I bought it. I was curious if there was any others out there like myself. I know one thing I have never had a truck "or car for that matter" that I enjoy as much as I do this one.

Jeez guys I just made the comment off hand. You Chevy and Ford guys (going off of your screen names) need to quit pickin apart my post. I think we all realize the truck companies all have different people make their engines. It just so happens Chevy is the most recent and slowest company to finally find a diesel engine that actually works well for them. (Dodge got the Cummins '89ish and Ford got the PSD '94.5) That is what I was pointing out.

And the comment I made this post in reply to magically disappeared..
