Where do all of the miles come from?

I am always browsing/looking at trucks on e-bay and have noticed some real nice trucks there. Alot of newer trucks on there have alot of miles. I have noticed that alot of the trucks are from Texas. What do you guys use them for? Work? Hotshot? Im not putting anyone down just curious......

Thats what I sort of figured. I have also seen these trucks that are jacked up w/ monster tires w/ a ton of miles on them. I love driving my truck but hate putting miles on it. I gues one goes w/ the other....haha

Yup! I think I-10 east/west border to border it right at 800 miles, I-35 north/south border to border is a little over 700 miles. Nearly half of our yearly trip from San Antonio to visit my family in Ohio is just driving in/out out of Texas.

Ya we don't really have short fast trips. 30 minutes is considered a short trip for us, and it takes me at least that to get to work every day

Sounds like you just aren't used to the way things are in rural areas, and especially in the west.

I drive 40 Miles+ each way to work, which is a nice reduction as it was over 60.

Add in personal trips, hauling stuff etc and you end up witha pile of miles ina year.

Well now my office is 8 miles from home so you would think I would have low weekly miles average. I take my daughter to school on the way, that makes it 25 miles to work, then pick her up, take her home and go back to work. Normal to/from school/work around 65 miles a day. Then I head to Hot Rod Diesels for BS/work on the weekend 60 miles one way. Track is 60 miles one way. Trip to visit parents a couple times a month 45 miles one way, trip or two to Austin, Corpus Christi or Lousiana Race Track/Casino. All of a sudden I have 2500-3000 miles a month. That is with no planned trips.

Rodeo, that is where my miles come from, (well that and trips to Mexico ), been wondering lately if it was time to upgrade to a new truck and let the 12 valve rest but it has been more reliable than I could have ever imagined,
