What areas are Dodges superior to the competition?

Just curious as to what areas a new Dodge is superior to other new HD makes. Things in the specs and ratings other than the obvious like torque. Facts only please, don't turn it into a bash fest.

Looks.

The Ford is okay.

Chevy looks like something out of the "VACATION" movie.

Chevy's are good gassers but I wouldn't have one of their diesels. I've always liked Dodge trucks and vans. I have a Chevy S-10 4X4 blazer with 200K on it and it still doesn't burn any oil. It's the 4.3 liter V6 which is the old small block engine with 2 cyls lopped off. Still a good engine. Even the water pumps are interchangeable.

I bought a Dodge diesel because I heard the engines are good for 500k and some run to a million miles before a major overhaul. Cummins has been making diesel engines for a very long time so they know what they're doing. The Fords and Chevy diesels are not designed by as experienced people so you can expect problems until they've had 60 years or so of experience designing diesels.

It's as simple as that.

Electrical components, such as switches, alternators, starters etc. seem to be much longer lasting on Dodges than on the others.

I should add, look into the engine compartment on each truck. On a new Ford or GM, the clutter is amazing. If you dropped a wrench, it would never hit the ground. Even changing the fan belt on the 6 litre Ford is a several hour ordeal. The Dodge, by today's standards, is quite uncluttered.

maybe, I am seeing a lot more dodge gassers running around on the road more. The turn around started with the second gen body style and took another leap forward with the third gen trucks.
I don't think the old argument of dodge=junk holds water anymore. Dodge does have a long way to go to convince people they are producing a quality product as it has been a little over ten years. Maybe I am out to lunch here, but is there a comparison of gasser problems (jdpowers??) and/or non powertrain issues between the three?

i've owned 4 dodges, my brother 1 and my sister 1 every one of them except for the one i have now have had the tranny go out no bombs or anything all under 100,000 miles and don't forget about the great paint they have too it either peels or rust on the bottom of the doors. haven't seen to many dodges where the fuel sending unit(fuel gauge) works corectly. steering components are great also, trac bar and tie rod ends are good for about 30,000 miles. 5th gear likes to fall off a manual tranny. head light switch likes to melt, great for driving at night when your lights go out. right now thats just a few things i can think of that dodge's have wrong with them and haven't had a recall on any of these problems. everyone of these problems has happened to me and plenty of other people on this site so i know how great of a truck dodge builds. it's just sad to see a great engine wrapped in such a peice of junk.

I used to think that I would be in a Ford if they offered a Cummins until I got my 05. It would take a lot to beat the quality of this truck.

Not to mention Dodge has the best looking trucks on the road right now.
