Be wary of doing business with DTT diesel performance
------------
No problem Scotty!
Like you said, we can "agree to disagree."
I seriously doubt the "tranny wars" will EVER come back like they were a few years ago!
Most all of the aftermarket diesel transmission companies build good units for us. IMHO, it is mostly "personal preference" and customer service that I feel most of us look at. That is why most of us go back to companies that have treated us well. Every company has their "dissatisfied
customers" and we all know that. But when it gets to the level that Jaymie experienced that is not good.

Jaymie's situation is one that makes me cringe...the fallout for the vendor, the HUGE inconvenience for the truck owner and all the fallout at home etc etc...just a bad situation.
Let's not be so quick to call the issue resolved, I received an invoice showing a credit by e mail from dtt last night, but as of now there is still no credit showing on my MasterCard statement as of right now. I will be monitoring this and I will post if/when anything happens, until then, this is not resolved.
I realize that, that's why I said the credit doesn't show on my statement yet, not that I had not been credited. When I talked to MasterCard back in January, the info showed the actual transaction date was two days earlier than the posting date. I'll give it a couple more days before I grow concerned about this, but for now I don't have proof on my end that I was credited.
For what it's worth, I had a friend do me a favor and drive by the address that google lists for dtt, and there is no dtt there, a company called js performance is there. I don't know if the address for dtt is wrong, old, or intentionally misleading or all the above?

I don't have long, but I wanted to post and let you guys know the credit from dtt has shown up on my statement. It shows the transaction date as Friday, so Shanti was true to her word when she said she was going to take care of things Friday before she went home. Gotta go to work now. I'll be back later.
They should still refund you on the "LOST $$$/all costs"on shipping cost plus a little extra for your time /effort.----how about it DTT

.DW---PS,they were my first choice when i do my 48RE in my 2007 dually but i am looking at other options now

,hate to dump 6-7k into a tranny with the way they operate now.

Funny you guys mention it, In total I paid 1343.51 Canadian Dollars to DTT, plus 148 Canadian dollars to ship the converter back to them... They bill in US$ for reasons unknown...( I will elaborate on this) In total that is 1491.51 Canadian dollars out of my pocket... I have been lucky enough to have been able to use my fathers truck on occasions when I NEED a truck and my car just will not suffice, so while that has not caused me any direct monetary loss, it sure is a pain in the ..... rear end....
The refund I received was for 1266.93 Canadian Dollars.... I still have 224.58 out of pocket... 148$ of it went to purolator, and 76.58$ went directly to DTT...
I was happy I got a refund at first, but now that I have had a few minutes to sit down and do the math... I am not so happy anymore, so, here is some more dirt on DTT:
They do not have a "shop" per say, not in BC, not in washington , not anywhere, unless they are REALLY good at keeping it hidden... but if a business had a legitimate shop/store, why would they hide it from the public? The US address they list is a shipping/receiving company, similar to what many canadians who live near the border would use, however they have it listed on the DTT website as their Washington location.. 1927 Boblett St.
Blaine, WA 98230
A little quick googling by a good friend found this :
Can-American freight
unfortunately street view is not available for boblett street...
One more thing, The friday night that Shanti called me for my updated CC info, My caller ID brought up the phone number associated with the swanson street address - 604 824 1565, In the voicemail, I was told to call 1-866-504-4002. I called back to the 1565 number and she answered first ring ( which was actually pleasantly surprising I will admit), leading me to believe that DTT is really being run from stefan or Bills home...
JS performance occupies the building and unit that I do believe used to be home to DTT... I just noticed now that the international call in # for DTT on their website is 604 824 1565....
I seriously doubt that I will EVER get ALL the money I spent back. This all could have been avoided had I been sold/send what I had asked for in the first place, I would not have had to spend the money to return ship a torque converter... so in reality I do think its fair that I should have gotten that back also...

Jayme.
I saw on Cummins Forum about someone else who is not happy with DTT and this poster is with DTT: S. KONDOLAY Diesel Transmission Technology (DTT).
