Valvoline ?
I have been using Premium Blue in my 5.9 since new. I see they are making a ATF+4 now as well. I have been using the Mopar ATF until now. Has anyone used the Valvoline ATF ? Also i was thinking on switching to the Valvoline (using Redline) gear oil as well thus only buying one brand of oil for the entire truck. What do ya think ? Which would be the best Valv gear oil to use ?

I just changed the factory lube for Valvoline ATF+4 in my transmission and transfer case. I have put on about 1000 miles after the change and am very happy with the result, the shifting is smooth and easy. Next I plan on changing the two diffs. to the Valvoline synthetic gear lube.

If you all ready use Redline then why would you want to use a lesser grade of gear oil in your truck like Valvoline synthetic gear lube? My self I use Amsoil in my truck and in no way would I got backwards in the use of any gear oil in my truck.
BTW I've used Amsoil ATF for the past 6 years in my Dodge cars and trucks and I've had very good luck with it and I never have had any problems from using it.

I've run valvoline in my cars for as long as I can remember, now my saturn burns so much that I just use walmart brand. I started using the valvoline premium blue in my truck, switched to Schaeffers. I have to agree with DBLR why go down from Redline to Valvoline, nothing against the Valvoline. If you want to stay with one brand why not Redline engine oil, gear oil....I guess you'd still have to use the Valvoline ATF+4 for the trans though. If you decided to go with the Valvoline all around, I doubt it would hurt anything and they have a good product if ease of maintenance is what you are looking for when buying your oils.
