Has anyone put a cummins into a F 350? A friend bought a really nice 99 four wheel drive,with a junked 7.3,and he is toying with the idea of puting the cummins out of his 91 dodge,with the typicall rusted body,but engine rins like new.we were wondering what we will get into,or if it is even possible. He also has access to a 5.9 with a four speed allison,out of a small bus,is there a kit that can be used to mate the allison to the transfer case?Any information,or ideas where to get the information would be appreciated. Thanks.

He found out,there wasn't much wrong with the 7.3.Evedently a wantabe mechanic worked on it and totally screwed things up.After three days of checking relays,and sensors,and several other things,it's runing like a champ.I didn't realize how much power one of those things had.So for 4'000 dollars, and a bunch of agrevation,he has a really nice truck,but I told him I will stick with my old 93 dodge cummins,there is just something about the sound of the old girl,that puts the 7.3 to shame
