Superduty Torque?

Boy, these new superduty trucks really put out the torque.

7890 lb-ft according to these guys, lol.

Maybe that was in-lb. (7890 in-lb/12 = 657.2 lb-ft)

Then again..it might not be that far off in 1st low when you multiply the gear ratios ......

Had to look up the CTD numbers...

If the CTD could make rated torque in 1st gear:

650 lb-ft x 6.29 (w/G56) = 4089 lb-ft going into the transfer case.

4089 lb-ft x 2.72 = 11121 lb-ft coming out.

Gotta multiply that by 4.1 for the axle.

Frightening numbers like that is the reason I don't stand on mine until I hit 3rd. I worry about U-joints and axles.
