Stuck on Cummins power
Stuck on Cummins power
Came home from work tonight and my neighbor was at the door looking for a chain. It seems he had his van (ford e250 gasser) from work so he could bring his lawnmower home from the shop. It has been raining here every day this month except one. He pulled the van of the road in his yard in the ditch and it sunk right there. One of the other neighbors was trying to help him with his F150. Tried from the pavement, but by this time the van was down to the rear bumper with the front sinking fast, then drove in the yard to try pulling it thru from the front and almost got his truck stuck in the yard too. I went down and offered to help and he said that it would not come out from the street side, cuz it was stuck down to the bumper. I made him dig around in the mud and hook up a strap. I put my truck in 4 low and did not even put my foot on the pedal and pulled him out. Of course the angle and my truck height gave me leverage, but I was not expecting it to come out that easy. Then he told me he did not even have it out of park until he hit the pavement. Man I love this truck.
My neighbor got his freightliner motorhome stuck trying to hook to his enclosed trailer that was in his yard a while back. He called up wondering if i could bring a tractor down. I said sure. Jumped in the truck with a chain and a clevis, and drove down there. Pulled his motorhome out, then pulled his trailer onto the blacktop where he could hook to it, and drove the old cummins home
