Statewide sales ban on Dodge products

I was doing some research on Dodge and found a few articles that said in 1995/1996 The state of California was considering placing a ban on the sale of ANY new Dodge/Chrysler built product due to poor quality/recalls and safety issues from the lack of quality. Anyone see anything like this? At least it would explain a few things on my 95

I do remember reading about that. They ended up backing off. Wonder if Kali will ban Fords now?

Never happen, to many suckers buying them besides lower sales quotas would kill the economy in which ever 3rd world country the parts come from.
