Dodge "Fire Sales"
Anyone been looking at the new truck sales at the closing dealerships?
Just saw on the news where the 1/2 ton trucks that are listed for $45k are selling for around $25-$28k. Thats a heck of a deal, but they said nothing about the diesel trucks. I would assume that they would just be sent to the dealers staying open.
One dealer even had over 25 chargers that he was taking bids on, starting at $1,000.00. Thats a deal I wouldn't mind getting.
Sounds like a buyers market, if you don't mind counting on the gov't for your warranty. That's what keeps me away.
Opinions and other news welcome,
J.D.

I'm done with Dodge, I made a long post here and deleted it because it belongs in the political forum.
But I really like the Cummins.
I hope some people run across some good deals on cars, after all me, you and they are paying for it anyway.

You are right, all Dodge dealers are not closing, but Chrysler gets to throw all warranty out the window with bankruptsy. The Fed Gov't has stepped up and said they would cover the vehicles under manufacturer warranty.
Almost $20k off the price of a 1/2 ton is a great deal. They do write them up, but not nearly that much. At that price, I bet they are loosing $8k. These are brand new trucks, not left overs from last year. To be running a deal like this so early in the year, and on a new model year at that is unheard of.
