General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Yeah the worst part is there was no shoulder to pull off on for most of the way. I just thank God by a miracle a spot appeared at a house or I would have had traffic tangled for miles and miles on east bound US 35 just before you get to Winfield, WV. A school bus with kids going home had just went by me was looking for the flashing lights in case I had to stop and then all of a sudden what the !!!!!!!!!!!

Playstations and Xboxes were also introduced a very short time ago, yet millions of people got so used to them in this short period of time that they can not even imagine living without them anymore. Try taking one away from the kids (or young adults, for that matter) and you will be facing a bloody rebellion.

yeah wonderful... I've even heard other drivers wonder if that stuff had something to do with the Minnesota bridge collapse that happened over the summer. Wouldn't surprise me. I know MC has good benefits for the states in cost savings etc. They can spray it down on the road well in advance of approaching storms and forget about it whereas with regular rock salt they have to keep idling trucks parked on interstate ramps loaded and ready to roll shaking salt when the storm hits but the long term bad effects seem to outweight the good imo...

Kind of off topic here but there's a lot of little brats that need a good butt whupping every once in a while like the kind I used to get when I was a kid. And all the self important

people driving like maniacs could leave out 10 minutes early and not put everyone else on the highway in danger due to their dangerous and deadly behavior. I do around 150,000 miles a year behind a windshield and it never ceases to amaze me the that will risk their own or loved ones lives taking stupid risks in a car to get somewhere 30 seconds sooner..

many people got used to this new healthy oil substitute that was put in chips a couple of years ago, but people got over it after it was banned due to the side effect of butt leakage- people will adjust and just might thank you for it later!

The sad part is if you tell someone to leave for work a few minutes earlier they think your crazy and or stupid. We have a person in town who works for the state hwy dept, its about 1/2 mile from his house to work and he will leave 5 minutes before work starts and rides the rear of my wife's car all the way to work (she drives the speed limit of 55 MPH) so now my wife leaves at a different time to avoid the dummy. Too many people now days only think of them selves and the heck with anyone else

but the city/state doesn't have to accomidate them. if your average commuter, who doesn't want to change his driving habits because of weather conditions and doesn't care about damage to his vehicle because he's just going to return it at the end of the lease, wants tons of mag dumped on the roads, the city/state can just say no. since when is it so hard to stop doing something that's damaging our vehicles, roads, vegetation, and wildlife? if we called it a 'global warming' issue, it would stop tomorrow!
