Re:Pics of my Family's Trucks
Matt,
The fishing the last 2 years has been great because of the drought. The lake is at its lowest level in years and this makes for some really good fishing. A couple of friends went over the summer fishing and all three of them pulled in over 30 inch rainbow trout. One pulled in a channel catfish that was over 45 inches and if I can find the picture I'll post it. I wish I could've gone fishing this summer but I was busy helping fight fires :
. If you ever decide to come to T'dad let me know I'll show you the sights and maybe will do lunch or something.
Joe

Re:Pics of my Family's Trucks
Thanks Joe Last summer was kind of a waist because of the drought but it sounds like it made good fishing. I did not do to much last year for fear of the fires seems like they were all around us. Is there any large mouth bass in the reservoir? Any size to them? How much fishing pressure does it get? I use to love to go to pueblo before it got so crowded that it took all the fun out of it. We need snow!!!

Matt,

There are large mouth bass in the lake and from what I've heard they are pretty good sized. There are also walleye, bluegill, wippers, and crappie in the lake but I don't have any information about the size of those. I've never caught a bass at the lake of course I don't do any bass fishing just trout and catfish ;D. As to your other question I think Trinidad Lake is starting to become more popular because of the overcrowding at Pueblo, but I feel the fishing pressure hasn't changed much despite the increase in visitors. The reason I say that is because over the summer I passed by the lake almost every weekend and it didn't look that busy at all which is to my liking thats for sure. Pueblo is a mad house in the summer... :P

Joe
