General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

I know, I know, some of you will yawn and say "who cares?". Essentially the same thing happened over the summer to Dodge (but for other reasons). I wonder how many '09 CTDs are on the road compared to '08?

Well maybe it will help Dodge to sell a few more Cummins equipped trucks!

Maybe this article will shed a little more light into CARB's intervention into vechile production. This does NOT talk about diesel emissions (and CARB is the one who mandated the 2010 regulations). Rather - it shows just how far these people are going to try and regulate everything they can regarding cars. If these regualtions pass - toss your large tires in the history barrell...

Guess it's time to stock up on SAE 30 and BFG's.

I thank God that I left the People's Democratic Republic of Kalifornia many moons ago.

Too bad the auto companies can't just stop selling cars in Cali. After a while the people would change the way they vote.

Just read that Cummins is calling back more workers so they can increase production for the 2010 6.7L's.

I'd rather have a lower horsepower engine that did not need urea, than a higher horsepower one that did. I read somewhere that the tank would need to be refilled about every 5K miles.
