New Owner
New Owner
Hope this is the right place for this post. Sept. 7th I became the owner of a new '05 Ram 2500 CTD. With all the desparate acts to sell vehicles by the dealers and manufacturers, I couldnt pass it up. This is my first diesel, so I'm on a huge learning curve. I've been lurking around here for about a month reading and learning. Today I even turned off the annoying seatbelt chime, thanks to you guys! Some folks may not like this, but my truck is primarily used for transporting me to and from work. No towing. I like the fact I can drive a 7K# vehicle and still get 20 mpg. And have the ability to pull a small house off a slab if the need arises. Although, in my mind it did come in REAL handy and pay for itself during our little hurricane evacuation. The bed was loaded for bear and a rented single axle furniture trailer was loaded with keepers and such with the dog in the rear (the fold-flat floor under the rear seats was cool) and the wife and kids in her car (details at a a later date). Anyway, judging from what I've read to date, you all are really knowledgeable and love the share that knowledge. I hope I can contribute something here. Thanks, Steve.

Don't laugh, I've heard of it happening.

I think about that guy everytime I fill up. I make sure I have the smelly pump with the green handle.
