New Magazine: Diesel World (not Diesel Power)

I just picked up the Spring 06 issue but haven't read it yet. Anyone heard of it? I've never seen it before and thought it must be something new.

It looks like a mag that plans on going head to head with Diesel Power. Competition is good! On the cover is a gnarly Super Duty with 40's.

I just looked inside the cover of the mag, and it is indeed the very first issue....Volume1 - Number1. I do not see a website listed. It says it will be published 4 times a year.

BTW, I picked it up at Barnes and Nobles last night, here in San Diego. Check it out.

Info.....

What does it have on the cover? A flamed ford? I read one today at work, and it was OK, but had a lot of ford stuff in it. It was $4.99, thats all I remember, and it wasnt as many pages as Diesel Power.

I saw that the other day as well. Didn't bother reading it though. I'm having a hard time finding diesel power down here.

I saw it in Wal-Mart last night. Picked it up but haven't read it yet either. I figured it would be another year before Diesel Power would have any competition.

I just picked up a copy this morning @ Wally world and thumbed through it and it looks a lot better then Diesel power. It seems there is a lot mor informative articles in it. The only bad thing is it seems to be plastered with f*rds.

I saw that mag at Barnes & Nobles two days ago, thumbed through it and saw nothing but Ford articles and advertisements. I'll give them a second chance, but I'll pass on it this month. Maybe next month will be different. By chance anyone know who the publisher is?

It looks like it is associated with the tenmagazines.com group of magazines and websites. They added DieselTrucKWorld web site couple months ago. They have a number of magagzines associated with specific web sites, fordtruckworld and magazine, dodgetruckworld and magazine, chevytruckworld and magazine.

I was not impressed with the Dodge Truck World magazine that I looked at couple years ago. But the performance diesel world is growing fast and where there is advertising money there will be a glut of places to spend it.
