I believe Airstream is doing an RV conversion of the Sprinter. I think DC has Westfalia rig the shell in Germany, then Airstream puts the guts in. With these 2 companies involved, I can see why it would be $$$$$$$!

There was a test on one of these in Trailer Life a few months ago. They liked it, but that doesn't mean much - they like everything they test!

I saw one pass me yesterday fully decked out with camper trim. I didn't get a chance to see manufacturer but it did look good.
