Is Anyone Runnin This Box With The Tunable Software? I've Heard Good Things But Seems Like It's Still Not Available

 

Ive heard good and bad reports. Still not sure if the key to unlock custom user tuning is out yet but most of the reports I have heard have been bad.

 

It's listed as in stock and ready for sale on www.vadusa.com. $1100 for the tunable version seems steep to me. It would be nice if a beta tester would chime in.

I am a little surprised at how little talk there is about the new VA box, both on this site and others. At $1100 it's not too surprising. And at that price it had better be bad to the bone, and ready for the user selectable updates. Especially since Smarty is so entrenched and has user selectable tunes.

 

about 2 months ago i called van aaken and they said the software would be out in a week or two.. sounds like they may have some problems. guess ill look into the smarty

 

Yeah $1100 big ones for that thing, that price is close to a good DD for me! EFI Live for the D-max can be had for around $500 i think

 

i just recieved the hardware to do the tning and am supposed to be getting the software to start tuning very soon.i have had very good luck wit the c5

 

I just helped VA close their Doors here in the US and know of about 50 or so C5's kind of just sitting around.

From what I have heard the lead designer for VA left the company a few months ago. So as it stands I don't expect much out of VA for the time being.
