Cummins In The Power Wagon?

I was just wondering if any one had heard if Dodge was planning on putting the Cummins in the Power Wagon? My dad really wants the Power Wagon, but wouldn't get anything without the Cummins. So I was curious if there had been any somewhat true rumors circling about such a thing happening.

The Hemi is the only engine available. 6 speed manual or 5 speed auto.

I don't think they have any plans to do it. They are marketing the PW as a true off-roader (lockers, winch etc). The Cummins is too heavy of an engine for most people's taste in off-road conditions.

All the reviews I have read say they wish it had the cummins in it. The only real complaints they have about it is that the gasser is lacking power. A cummins would fix it

I think they should put the 6.1L in it.

This is only a guess, but I don't think the U-joints could hold up to the torque with the locker and the weight up front...

Another thing that I heard or read somewhere is no room for the charge air cooler with the winch behind the bumper.

I just saw one in person at the NY auto show, that thing is BIG!!

You just about need a ladder to get in it. They have installed a grab handle in the drivers side A-piller though.
Did anyone catch the electronic disconnecting front swaybar

Nice truck, but I wouldn't buy it without the CTD and at $47k on the sticker I looked at you wouldn't catch me scraping up the paint out on some trail either .

They could put it directly under the hood like they do on the military HMMWV's.

I would think that the extra weight in the front would be a plus to keep traction going in the Powerwagon in 4 wheel mode.

How big a market is there for $50k+ pickups? The Power Wagon's not cheap to begin with, add a $5k engine option and you've got a pretty expensive ride.
