Cummins In The Power Wagon?
I'd consider one if they get the mileage problems worked out, I just can't drop down to 14 mpg.
I talked to a guy with 17000 miles on an '04.5 3500 srw, said he gets 13-14 mpg
I told him about the reflash, he couldn't wait to get in there. He was thinking it was gonna take him 30k to see mileage improvements. He also couldn't believe I was getting 20+ when I had 10k on mine

Here's hoping that Jeep builds the Rescue. It's based on the 2500 platform with the Cummins.
Supposed to compete with the H2.

I think most the mileage issues have been worked out. One thing that people need to remember, I dont get the same mileage i get with my 99. 99 gets 21-23 at 55 on flat hwy. I get 19-20, All time high of 21 ( all after reflash) Before high was 16 something.
The in town mileages are lower i belive because of the 3rd injection. on highway the truck stops the 3rd injection and runs the 2 like the 03s do. At the lower speeds they do it to keep the cylinders warmer for emmissions and to quite the engine

About the previous posts on breaking U-joints w/ the front locker .. I was thinking the AAM TracRite EL diff locker might be a future mod. It sounds like I should think twice about this. Anyone care to comment further? Thanks.
Also the guy at the local 4x4 shop told me yesterday that ARB should have a locking diff for the rear AAM 1150 in a month or so. He ballparked about 800 for the diff, 200 for the compressor and 1800 for total package w/ labor.

Jeep is coming out with a new model for 2006. It's called the Commander. Kind of reminds me of the old XJ Cherokee, only thing is, you can get this with the Hemi.
The power wagon was on 4x4 tv last night on the outdoor channel. They took it over the rocks the guy said it was the first stock 4x4 he has ever seen go up those rocks. It was awesome but for me not practical with the 456 gears for a every day driver.
