A friend of a friend, you get the story....is trying to figure out what warning lamp is on on her 1991 Chevy C2500 6.2L Diesel. "HER" description is the right side of dash, top 3 lamps above the fuel guage, middle lamp ........squigly line with an arrow pointing to it is on the right side of is ( glow plug lamp or water in fuel?) and there is a shower head on the left side of it ( high beam? LOL ) . It appears to have a preformed plastic cover over it, definately not electrical tape or anything, but one corner appears cracked and at night she can see a reflection of the lamp. The lamp is amber in color. Any ideas? I'm working on getting pictures!

 

I'll take a guess it's a water in fuel lamp. Maybe it got covered as a sensor went bad and someone was not happy about the replacement cost for the sensor. They likley decided instead electrical tape was more cost-effective.

 

Thats just it though......it's not tape. It looks like a molded cover. How it would have ever gotten chipped on one edge is beyond me though.....going to try and get better pics soon.
