Need some help.

Alright my dealership that I normally go to has a 04.5 6.0L PSD I know I know but its for one heck of a deal...Has 1K miles onit. Here are my questions...

1. Does ford still have the problems out there wit them?
If question is a yes explain....

2. The truck is an XLT but it has viynl floors...Do trucks with vinyl floors have bad trade in value? (heard it somewhere)

3.2wd or 4wd? Dont really need 4wd but if i dont get it i will need it but if i do get it I wont need it.

4. Shoudl i buy it out right or do a red carpet option?

here are some questions for now..I will add when i think of them...THANKS!

the fords are a good truck we work them hard and seem to do good. at the co. i work for. the only thing I can say is stay away from the automatic. the co. bought 150 new 04 6.0L ...250 -550 and the last time i talked with some one at the shop
27 of the auto trans trucks had scattered there transmissions one guy i work with every day lost one in his truck at 4500 miles and it left a red stain all over the hwy ford put a new one in it and he now has 10k on it and was telling me that its starting to do the same thing again(put it in gear and nothing ...then BANG it shifts or going down the road it goes in Neutral then BANG shifts) all the standerd trans truck run great just a few have gone in for engine problem(not sure what for) but all in all there a good truck

Its the TorqueShifts transmissions. Ford stopped using the E40D trans when they stopped with the 7.3L

Rebal,
Thanks for the info....That almost sounds like a TC problem but could be wrong....I wonder if (since im gonna be BOMB'n it) i can get away with getting a new TC.

My brother in law bought one, had it 2 weeks and transmission broke just like rebal said put it in drive and it pulls off like it's in second gear then bang it shifts down. ford dealer put a new transmission off of the line in it, hasn'thad any trouble since, been 6 months.

The truck only has 1k miles on it? Was it a demo, or a buyback?
Ford still has way to many issues for me.
