yep danny thomas and Satisfaction...that happened a few years ago at cobelskill NY...i was at that fair since it was an ATPA show and at the time i was working for them as an officiall...ive seen prob 20 of them do this this is actually mild iv watched them launch the block outta the frame...and on the comment tractor pullers could fix that you are correct(many guys have a spare block sittin in the garage ready to roll)

that danny thomas wreck.......the pistons look much larger than a DT466 would have. still appears to be in the 14/15L bore family.

They have to build up the hood structure to contain the engine in case something like this happens, looks like it worked.

A co-worker used to pull rigs like this, said some folks run cabling around outside the engine as an extra precaution.
they run heavy steel cables from the framerails up and over top of the engine to contain it. the cables came about because an engine actually killed a driver when it exploded like that.

That's because they are, probably has that DT466 out around 540 or so.

540 cubes is a good guess if it runs the limited pro class...limited pros run 540 ci max, pro stocks run 680 ci max, and super farms run 640 ci max per ATPA rules...take a dt466 and stretch it to 680 cubes=big a$$ pistons
