Dealer caused front axel CARNAGE!!!

I had the front pinion seal replace three times to stop a leak. The third time I finally convinced them to replace the yoke and seal. Below is what happens when you don't torque the pinion nut! Front tires locked up pulling back on to the highway from the shoulder. Thank god this didn't happen when I was going 60 mph on the busy two lane hwy without gaurdrails that goes over Whites Pass in Washington. Nice huh...

I gotta give kudos to Tom Addis Dodge in Yakima Wa. This wasn't even thier problem but they jumped right in with the Dealer in Spokane. Got a PO from them and put me first in line for the rack. Phil, the service writer, took care of his end and Dan, the technician, had the front axles and driveline out and the truck driveable in 2wd in less than 2 hours so I could return to the dealer that caused this in Spokane. I can't thank those guys enough. That was a stand up little dealership!

Give us the mileage results on the way back...

Maybe this will answer the $100 question for those obsessed with unlockable hubs and better mileage...

Will do. I tried to fuel up at the Flying-J earlier but due to the prices being lower than Wa the rigs were lined up clear back to the freeway. Looks like another midnight fuel up...

Just finished going through a Dana 60 with damage just starting (the case looked like yours) This on had a bearing the went and opened up the pinion clearance.

Let us know what the dealer that caused it does for you.

The five star dealer did exactly the same to my rear diff and denied it so it cost me $550 out of my pocket.
