They freaked out when they heard what happened and seemed even more freaked out that I wasn't going ballistic. Just lmao. Hey, everyone makes mistakes and no-one was hurt including me so what shorten my life span by blowing my top. Thier offering me the world. Rental truck for my tools so I can keep working, extra towing costs. Even offered to have it put on a roll back all the way to Spokane. The driver that brought me down off of Whites Pass said a ride from Yakima to Spokane would run about an additional $1200 dollars. My Spokane dealer said it didn't matter, if I wasn't comfortable driving the truck back they would pay.

I'm sure they just want it fixed quick and quite and you can bet they'll turn it in to Dodge as warrenty and won't eat the cost themselves even though THEY caused the failure by not torquing the pinion nut. They're replacing everything but the axle shafts themselves.

Do your tires have flat spots where they locked up? May need new ones

I had pulled off the road to compolete a fiber optic splice repair. Parked . Backed out and started forward to re-enter the highway when the front end locked up and bounced me off of the steering wheel. Dug both front tires into the shoulder about 8". Could have been a lot worse. The tow truck driver thought I was nuts until the tires locked up 1/4 of the way up the roll back and started sliding...
