I just put a pair of Maxxis Bravo 735 M/T's on the back of my '01. They replaced a set of new Trail Cutter R/T's that were scary bad. When I had the fiver (conv to gooseneck) on in a crosswind the tires would squirm like sissy car tires. They scared the wife so bad she told me to take them back. I did, and the independant tire dealer did me right and sold me the Maxxis tires for only $4 difference. The Bravo M/T's are awesome in the mud!
On the subject of tires, I just had one of the Mastercraft Courser CT's slip a belt - all the way around. We are on the road, so hopefully we will not need another spare. Will see how the same dealer handles warranty on the Mastercraft tires. They were right on with the Michilin warranty for the fronts.
By the way, the Maxxis Bravo's have OK wet weather traction, excellent mud traction and with weight in the back made it through our ice storm last month. They are not too loud (but who could hear it in a 24 valve anyway) and do not "walk" too severely on the road.
If the tire dealer offers you the Buckshot Mudders, check the load rating! The size for my truck was only D rated. Not good enough for a truck that works for a living. Get E rated tires for your 3/4 or 1 ton truck.

I noticed that too. My 285s are load range D but the Weight in LBS is more than an range E in the factory size.
