In the market for a truck

what about this?

1996 V10 2500
Reg Cab LWB
110k Miles
Claims to be perfect working order, with all options but sunroof.

It's for the girls to drive to school and back, and me and the wife to tool around town.

Watching out for those bubble gum machines. Those V10's have a lot of get up and go.

From what i've heard dodge V10=speeding ticket. Yeah, i know that statement wasn't helpful, but somebody will probably give you better info.

If it's not going to be a hauler...why not get something that gets better fuel mileage?

Looks like a nice truck from that angle. We have a 98 V-10 on one of our ranches with about 100K on it, anyone know the average lifespan of this truck? ours is an auto.

I'm planning to buy an old Volvo wagon for my teenagers (when they get to the tennage years) to tool around to and from school with.

That being said, a full-size truck is fairly safe these days, and the V-10 seems like a good engine. But I hope they have a generous allowance - gas won't be cheap in that truck. But then - you could limit the number of miles they drive per week with it.

Here's one to consider, Buick Park Avenue, with the 3800 V6. Nice and comfortable, safe, and relatively good fuel economy. Plus you can absue the heck out of the 3800 and it'll still keep on ticking. Check around, they are quite inexpensive. Just my $.02

I watched a v10 dually pull the sled last year. I was very impressed with the way it pulled, it made the lumpy idling, straight pipe, obnoxious, big block fords look like a joke and you could barely hear it the whole time with it's stock exhaust!

If you think you can handle the bad fuel mileage and it is priced right go for it! It is a sharp looking truck and it's my favorite color!

Yeah, fuel mileage isnt' a concern when it's only going to go about 50 - 100 miles a week. I just wanted to make sure this motor can go 200k if I need it to.
