Tryin to con my buddy into installing a 3BT? from a ??? in his 71 cruiser. He`s all but given up after 2 rebuilds in 5k miles and the lack of anyone knowing how to do machie work right in his neck of the woods. What would pull a 4500 lb 4x4 good ? I dont think a 5.9 would fit + it would be pretty heavy. any info would be appricated. Also what would be adaptable as far as trannnies?

its a 4bt. good swap... more than a few have done the cruiser swap

its loud, smells, tears up drivetrain parts and gets GREAT milage
