Killer dowl pin question...

Everything that I have read about the KDP seems to point that it is a 12V problem only. I was cruising one of our performance shops online and they had a KDP kit for a 24V though. So my question is, does the 24V have a KDP that needs to be dealt with or is it just a 12V problem?

This same subject has came up, again this time on the CF site. The discussion is concering a 2002, of which should be free of such a problem. It is recomended to check and possibly Tab or jig the dowell pin from 2000 to 98.5 24 valves engines. We know about the 12 valves, Some will have the newer cases from 99 and up, 2000 up, but who knows? the problem is there is no way to know which engine has the knureled pin hole, so, if in question, I guess one will have to do a little dissassembly to find out , or just trust your gut. It can happen to any of them I guess.
DC and Cummins say there is not a problem with the pins, why do they have a pin kit put together? from Cummins. I am not badgering, just noting facts.
