Just wanted to let any motorhome or medium duty truck owners know the KDP can happen to 8.3 liter Cummins engines as well. One of the trucks at my work (96 Ford, 180,000 miles) had the KDP crack the BOTTOM of the timing case this week. Lost a lot of oil before the driver noticed, lucky he didn't lose oil pressure and destroy the whole motor. KDP was found in the oil pan.<br>

 

I had wondered if The C series had the KDP also. Thats goona cost your employer a little of $$$$. Thanks for the info. -Anthony
