Kilby Enterprises makes an engine drive compressor for the 5.9L so you can run air bags, air horns, run impact wrenches/shop tools, and air up tires. I found out about them because I'm looking for an EDC kit for my '08, which they don't make a kit for yet but are supposed to be in the process of creating.

I just looked at that kit and thats awesome. I'm going to have to add that to my long list of things I need for my truck.

You can't put a gear driven compressor on our trucks , because you would have to remove the ps and vac pump...
