Just thought id share

My dads tow truck has a 5.9 24 valve, and the best part, Its a f650 "proloader"

its a roll back

The F-650 and up can only get a Cummins or a Cat, because International builds the same class trucks.

you can get a ford with the DT466 and the DT385

but is the cummins a 5.9? it looks bigger then the one in my truck.. way bigger

it may be the size up with the is ISC, 8.3L of cummin's goodness

It's a 5.9. I have a 5.9 in my 2000 F650. It just looks bigger because it exposed and not stuffed between fenders.

ive seen 2 with eaton 6 speeds on them. They are owned by a company called Alpha in SW michigan.

I see those F650 5.9's have air compressors next to the Vp-44, wonder if you could squeeze one on a dodge 5.9 and have it for running bags and what not.

You sure that was not the european ford engine? I don't recall the engine model off hand.

Agreed. I'm not saying it's not true, but I've never seen a Ford with an Inline International either. I've seen them with the old V Configuration engines.

I don't think our engines use the same timing case. Freightliner's use the 5.9 as well in garbage trucks, etc. Generally those engines will actually say ISB on the timing case, while ours don't say anything. I could be wrong though..
