just bought a "new" tractor!!

"New" being a 1970 Case 530 with a construction king loader, backhoe and a diesel that has a bit of blow-by!! I drove it home yesterday, and sure it smokes out the oil fill cap a bit, but I LOVE it!! I paid $4000 for it, and the hydraulics are AWESOME! It starts up good in the cold (about 25* f) with a sniff of happy gas. It was not plugged in. I think I did good! bruce

Is it a Construction King? They're excellent tractors.
Don't think they started putting Cummins engines in them until the '80s, seems like the earlier ones had IH engines.

Sweet, finding one that old that is still tight is a great discovery.

You guys are AWESOME!!

Yep, pretty much all my ?s were answered with that post!! The bucket needed new teeth tips, and someone had welded the holes in and welded the other tips on, so I just welded these on too. I plugged it in, and it didn't need any happy juice to start this morning.

Now to fill in our new culvert/root cellar
